By using Solo and Sure, you agree to these terms. They're short on purpose.

General information, not advice

Our guides are general information. They are not medical, legal, or financial advice. For decisions about your health, legal documents, or money, talk to a licensed professional where you live.

Rules differ by place

Laws and programs differ by state and province, and they change. Each guide says where it applies and when it was last updated. Check the current rules for your own state or province before you act.

No professional relationship

Reading the site, or writing to us, does not make us your lawyer, doctor, nurse, or financial planner. If a guide names an expert reviewer, that person checked it for accuracy. Reviewers don't advise readers.

Tools and printable documents

Our free tools, and anything they produce (checklists, cards, PDFs, lists of forms, and calculations), are provided "as is" and "as available". We make no warranties of any kind, express or implied, including that they are accurate, complete, or fit for a particular purpose.

The tools organize and explain information. They don't create, check, or make valid any legal document. Nothing a tool produces is legal, medical, tax, or financial advice.

Laws and forms change, and they differ by state and province. Before you sign, file, or rely on anything, have a licensed attorney in your state or province review it.

Limits on our liability

We work to keep the guides and tools accurate and current, but we can't promise they are complete or error-free. You use the site and its tools at your own risk. To the extent the law allows, Solo and Sure is not liable for any loss that comes from relying on the site and its tools, or on anything they produce. Nothing here limits rights you have by law that can't be waived.

We link to laws, agencies, and other sources. We don't control those sites and aren't responsible for them.

Using our content

The text, cards, and images on this site belong to Solo and Sure. You may print or share a guide or card for your own personal use, with a link back. Please don't republish or sell our content without written permission.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply there.

Changes

We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version.
